Nancy Played Her Part in a Divinely Orchestrated Drama

Nancy Kou was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from Taipei First Girls High School (第一女子高級中學)and was later admitted to the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at National Taiwan University (國立台灣大學). Gifted with eloquence and quick thinking, she quickly became a sought-after speaker and television host. Over the years, she has hosted programs on major networks including Taiwan’s CTV, CTS, CTiTV, and China’s CCTV and Hunan Satellite TV. Beyond television, she has performed in stage plays, lent her voice to dubbing projects, worked in radio, and published books—showcasing her multifaceted talents.
Raised in a Christian family, Nancy is the granddaughter of Rev. Kou Shiyuan(寇世遠牧師), founder of the Home of Christ Church(基督之家), and the niece of renowned preacher Rev. Andrew Kou(寇紹恩牧師). On November 17, 2009, she married singer-songwriter Huang Kuo-Lun (黃國倫) in Jerusalem, Israel. Together, this devoted couple has traveled far and wide, passionately sharing the gospel and living out their faith.
What follows is Nancy’s heartfelt testimony—filled with astonishing experiences that reflect divine orchestration. She knows deeply that God’s script has long been written; all that remains is for them to embrace their roles and perform, scene by scene, in His heavenly drama.
I often ask Kuo-Lun, “Why must you take me all the way to America? Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore… there are still so many in Southeast Asia who haven’t heard the gospel. Wouldn’t it be better to go there? North America is just too far!”
I know full well how vast and spread out it is, with inconvenient transportation and long hours of driving that drain our energy. On top of that, ministry schedules in the U.S. are always packed—once, we had three back-to-back gatherings in a single day, from morning till night. It was utterly exhausting.
And yet, every time we minister in North America, God’s guidance is unmistakably clear, and the fruit is undeniable. More importantly, He always allows me to experience something unexpected along the way. So all I can do is surrender and give thanks. Wherever He sends us in the future, we’ll go joyfully—because His script has already been written. All He asks is that we play our part.

In this unfamiliar city, God had already prepared a sister named Nancy to welcome us. When we first met, she was a bit shy and introduced herself as a “fan,” though she hadn’t known us personally before. Remarkably, six months prior to our decision to visit Vancouver, a video of our testimony had unexpectedly popped up on her phone. The message touched her deeply. From that moment on, she began searching online for our past programs and sharings, and within just half a year, she had come to know us quite well.
Even more incredible was that when we finally set foot in Vancouver, we ended up at her church—and she was the one assigned to host us! It felt like a divine preview written across half the globe. God had already woven everything into her life story, long before we arrived.
This brother left a quiet impression on me: humble, introverted, soft-spoken. He seemed almost transparent, serving silently in the background. We assumed he was simply a faithful helper working behind the scenes. But after arriving in the U.S. and dropping us off at the hotel, he turned to us and asked, “Would it be alright if I stayed… to hear Kuo-Lun’s testimony again?”
Oh! Hadn’t he already heard it at last night’s evangelistic meeting? But since he felt moved, of course we welcomed him to stay. And he did. Later, while driving Kuo-Lun to church—with just the two of them in the car—this brother opened his heart completely, sharing his life story with honesty and depth.

Though his life had been reset to zero, he received God’s Word and resolved to live it out wholeheartedly—even locking himself in his closet for three hours each night to pray. During this season, one day his phone unexpectedly displayed a video of Kuo-Lun’s testimony. After watching it, he spent the entire night on his knees, weeping. Through that testimony, God comforted, healed, and encouraged him.
Even more astonishing, that very night he clearly heard the Holy Spirit say, “One day, you will meet Huang Kuo-Lun.” He laughed it off, thinking, “I’m not a fan—why would I ever meet him?” Yet five years later, he became the very first person to welcome us in Vancouver—and the last to see us off. That day in the car, Kuo-Lun prayed with him, and then said, “I believe God will let you earn money again.” To which the brother replied, “God told me the same thing. But this time, the money will be used for His Kingdom.”
If God had already told him five years ago that one day we would meet, it’s almost beyond belief. Back then, we had no idea what we were doing, yet God had already ordained that one day we would come here and encounter this very person. I truly believe God’s plan is universal. In His global script, He had planted the foreshadowing long ago—waiting only for the right time to bring us together. How could I not be filled with awe?
He is the God who is worthy of our lifelong devotion and faithful service!
