The Parable of the Lost Coin is record in the Bible, Luke 15:8-10.
To find the lost coin
There was a woman who had ten coins. One day, she realized that one of them was missing. Originally, she had ten, but now only nine. Where did the coin go?So, she immediately lit a lamp and brightened the house. She swept every corner of the room, looking for the lost coin. Where could it be? She kept searching and searching… Finally, she found it!How happy she was! The coin was found!Then, she invited her friends and neighbors, saying, "The coin has been found! Come and rejoice with me!"God searches for the lost
This is a parable that Jesus told. In God's eyes, everyone is as precious as the lost coin. No matter the coin's value or our social status, God seeks every lost person. God rejoices when a person repents. This story also reminds us that we should show the same love for those who are lost, seek them, and care for them; when they repent and return to God, we too will rejoice and be glad with them.
