 Fruit of the Spirit-Patience
Fruit of the Spirit-Patience

In today’s fast-paced world, impatience seems to be growing. A few taps on a phone without an instant response can spark frustration: “Ah! When will it work? Why isn’t it working yet?” Even half a second feels too long, and irritation quickly follows. But is God like us? He doesn’t need phones, nor is He ever rushed by time.
We live by our own schedules, relying on calendars, phones, and devices to manage our days. We anxiously tap screens, urging them to complete tasks faster. But God is different. He is the Eternal Lord—present in every moment, at all times. He is the All-Seeing, All-Knowing God, full of wisdom, perfectly aware of all things, and knows exactly when to give us what is most fitting and beautiful.
For those who follow Him, two things matter most: trusting Him and obeying Him. When He calls us to act, we do so at His appointed time. This is the essence of complete trust and obedience.
Patience is the quiet strength to wait in Him. I use a pear to symbolize patience, with scattered pear blossoms nearby to suggest fruitfulness. The background is brushed with silver tones, lending the piece a serene glow. In the figure’s hand is an hourglass, inscribed with the words: “Trust in God’s Timing.”
We must learn to trust and obey God’s timing—not following our own plans or desires, not acting whenever we please, but waiting for His perfect arrangement.
